An in-depth comparison of Sky Zone in Allendale vs. Urban Air in South Hackensack:
Price/Value: Urban Air One child with one parent is $60 for 1.5 hours at Sky Zone vs $51 for 2 hours at Urban Air, and Urban Air has many more / higher quality attractions
Trampolines: Urban Air Both have a large open trampoline area, but Urban Air's is better because it has ramps and boxes for kids to jump on. They both have a "5 and under" section, but I saw several teenagers in it at Sky Zone so they don't appear to care.
Dodge Ball: Urban Air Urban Air has two arenas and plenty of balls. Sky Zone has one arena, and the last time we went there were exactly 2 balls in it. Which didn't actually matter because all the younger kids were kicked out by staff the moment we got there and then high schoolers took over for the next hour until we had to leave.
Other Attractions: Urban Air Beyond what's mentioned above, Sky Zone has some trampoline basketball hoops, a foam pit with a balance beam to battle on, and some arcade games. Urban Air has all of those as well. In addition, Urban Air has a large ball pit obstacle course, a large jungle gym with slides, a section for extra-bouncy trampolines (6 ft+ bounces), and for $5 extra there are auto-belay rock climbing walls.
Honestly, I wish this review was a more competitive comparison, but it's just not even close. I have no idea how Sky Zone can remain in business charging more money for less time with fewer attractions that are lower quality and come with worse customer...
Read moreIf you want to play dodgeball- don’t come to the Allendale sky zone. Don’t give them your money. False advertising. It used to be a great place for dodgeball. But now they never open enough dodgeball trampolines or have refs even though they have plenty of players waiting to play. It is especially frustrating when there are empty unused trampolines closed off, staff just standing around and plenty and enough kids of all age groups wanting to play walking around aimlessly. The worse part is the management staff who doesn’t care and does nothing to fix this issue.
Allendale skyzone showed remove dodgeball as something they offer- because they really don’t offer this. If you are here to play dodgeball you make pay for an hour and half but only really play for 30 minutes- if you are lucky and there is a good ref. Otherwise even if you want to play without a ref- your game is consistently stopped and are constantly getting kicked off your dodgeball trampoline, because of private parties or age restrictions. I don’t see them doing this with any of the...
Read moreI hosted an event there yesterday and let’s just say it was VERY unorganized. For a party that was that expensive I expected more. The host assigned to our group was great however if you opt for the private court, they will close it whenever the host isn’t there to watch the kids. So if the host leaves that area for any reason the court will be closed and all of the kids in your party will have to leave that area. They also don’t mention that the party room is shared with other parties and you do not have access to it until they tell you so. If the group before yours is in the room later than they are supposed to be that will cut into your time. There was also one girl that works there who was very rude and snatched a couple of things out of my hands. Being the person who paid for the event, that should never happen. They need to staff better and organize their events much better. It seems as if we wasted time shuffling everyone around rather than...
