This was my neighborhood park growing up. The maintenance on it is much better than when I was a kid. It is at the peak of Lake Ave. close to the mountains so it feels almost like a mountainside huge rest stop area. Community events are often held here and it's always enjoyable. The most recent was the Sherrif's car show. It was small but fun. The views from this park are scenic and picture worthy. It has it’s own solemnity even though there are other people in the park playing, chatting and kids running around still me and my husband enjoy our time. We had our little picnic there. They have grillers that you can use to cook/bbq and have enough tables to sit and eating spots. The neighborhood is very disciplined, has a lot of possible spots to park around the park. The craftsman lodge has an interior stage and huge stone fireplace. I think it can be rented out for events, like art shows. Such a great location, right next to the mountains.
