The Milton Schoolhouse — Attraction in Alton

Greetings, For the building manager or owner: I said I don't use Facebook but will gladly field any responses you have for me here. I have many complaints. I sure would like the opportunity to call you out on the plethora of problems I have encountered. As it stands, I urge you to do better in as many ways as you can. My expectations have bottomed out. I am willing to listen and perhaps resolve but will not be treated so poorly anymore. Any future interaction will be public.

Specifically, I urge you to deal with the mold issue, first and foremost. Simply put, use vinegar, not bleach. It would be good to deal with the mold in the floor of the coffeeshop at the plumbing, as these areas are commonly exposed under cabinets and are likely exposing customers inside the shop. Access is below, where mold is evident in the cieling and the access panel. I was frequenting a lot and can tell you some days I would get really bad headaches by visiting Meava's and drinking the coffee. I blamed the coffee roast, but it was just as lokely I was being exposed to black mold. Employees would likely have built immunity so wouldn't notice, that is reasonable. Let us be reasonable and less like 90210. I would appreciate...

This place is so unique and historic. There’s a small thrift store in here and a cute coffee shop “Maevas” that has good coffee. There’s some other shops in here that I haven’t checked out yet but plan too, like the soul sanctuary downstairs, I need to check that out! I’ve heard such good things. I love the vibes here and the local art showcase is amazing. The staff here are very big on supporting the community and I love seeing that, we need more of that! My favorite coffee shop! Locally roasted Goshen coffee, you can even buy the whole bean. I often get the soup of the day, which I highly recommend. The staff are friendly and the building has a cool vibe. Great place to chill on Milton road...
