This is a beautiful, peaceful place. There are numerous playgrounds for the kiddos with large fishing ponds and plenty of shade trees. The Amarillo Zoo and Wonderland Water Park are also snugged in to this park. The park is kept very clean and the groundwork also includes nature trails. This is an ideal place to spend time with the family. The only thing not to like about this place is that you can't stay forever. In its entirety, this is a kids dream, and I'm a big kid at heart. I was there for 10 minutes before catching a nice catfish that made my nephew dance around. Admission is free. The fishing is free. The good times are free. Read moreAmazing park, always fun to come by. Large park with lots of green areas and lots to do. Lots of trees and shade and the grass is very green! It's also very clean and well maintained. Picnic tables and paved trails all throughout the park. There's a couple of playgrounds, including a really neat pirate ship themed one, but that one is usually packed. There's a pretty large dog park in it too. There's a lake with a walking trail and benches around it. And of course, there's the zoo attached! You can see into the zoo from the outside at different parts of the park. I was able to see a fox and a camel from outside the zoo. Very comfortable place. Overall, it's a great park that me...

This is one of the few fishable places in Amarillo and we spend many days there fishing and to see some of the memorable fish we have caught and released floating was disheartening to say the least. People need to respect nature or take their boats...
