Take a ride on a rare Hopkins looping coaster! Only 2 of these models still operate worldwide. Do you know where the other model operates? Firstly, the $30 ticket to get through the gate is way too pricy. I saw the poster signs on the wall of the ticket booth, but what everyone in my party failed to see is the piece of “paper” on the ticket booth counter listing the rides that weren’t operating or that were shut down. It was half of all of the rides. There are few rides that an adult can ride or that would interest them, and to not have much available to begin with, $30 is already steep. Kids should have a cheaper price especially if half of the rides are going to be down. When I hear that rides have been inoperable for 2 years or 6 years, that means it is time to move on and make a change. That’s a negative, Ghost Rider. Get with the times. Of course, this is me speaking to ownership. Nearly every ride I rode out of the 6 rides… 6 rides that I rode… read that again… were extremely jerky and had 5 or 6 unnecessary sharp sudden jerks. This place is really on a last leg… which is surprising considering people have said ownership has wanted to expand several times in the past. You can’t take care of what you have? Most of the park looks like it hasn’t been updated, painted, or changed in the last 50-60 years… Let’s talk about park safety. Safety, safety, safety… The rides jerking is not a good sign. This “carnival” is highly unsafe! *Aside from that, my nephew was on the kiddie car ride and buckled in place with the strap tightened. The ride jerked upon starting, the strap came loose, and within two seconds, half of his body was hanging off of the car… it had to be stopped immediately when I was walking back and my mother screamed to stop the ride. The attendant was not paying attention, and didn’t even check the kids on the ride before starting and make sure everything was good. She had to be told to stop the ride as well. Even though the strap was initially snug, it came loose anyways. “We check all of the straps every day” I was told… F-! I got the typical “I’m so sorry to hear that” speech… I’m so sorry that this place is still in business. This place needs a major face lift and some major changes, to be shut down, or sold!!! Maybe we’ll have a chance at a real amusement park that isn’t a cheap carnival. Ownership needs to get their heads out of their rectums and do something! This is nothing new. People don’t always remember years later until something happens to someone close to them. Several of these rides have had multiple major incidents, some even including the worst imaginable, and something is clearly wrong here! I don’t care what some state inspector says who is in the pocket of ownership. Corruption at its finest! For a Saturday evening, the park was desolate anyways. It was practically a ghost town. Now I know why… I hope this place gets leveled! They say they are so keen on safety… which everyone does and it is just a crap statement… yet they can’t even do simple things. Nearly everyone in my party almost fell because the concrete is extremely uneven, has huge dips, the brick at the front is unsafe… Get a clue! This park isn’t even open the majority of the year, and they’re telling me they can’t even level the walkway for people to have a decent and safe place to walk. How about perspective? This is the smallest park I have ever been too and is even way smaller than the state fair. You can’t take care of and maintain this park? Shut it down!!! If something had happened to my nephew and a miracle didn’t intervene, this would have gone a severely different direction! My definition of safety and other peoples’ is night a day difference! On top of that, people still have to pay extra for some of the rides! The ticket booth operator inside the park where people make “additional”🙄🙄 purchases happily let me get a ticket to ride the Texas Tornado knowing no one was over there only for me to find out it has to have 12 people for them to run it. That is ownership saying they won’t even run the one decent ride they have unless they get an additional $50 when a ticket is already $30. This park is a huge “take the money and run”...

I have been going to Wonderland Park since I was a kid in the 90’s.

The Pros: •Little to no lines, esp on weekdays. Often times rides would be having the opposite problem; where people in line beg others to join so they can meet the minimum required to start the ride. The longest line I’ve ever stood in was the line to pay and that was about 15 minutes. •Good variety of rides, esp for kids. Kids will LOVE this place •Free parking and lots of it! •Good prices for concessions •Small, but in a good way. Everything is close together and after a long day you don’t feel like you missed anything

The Cons: •A lot of staff members are 16-18 year olds with this being their first job. A few are amazing (The Fiesta Swing employee was the best!) but most are rude. We had several swearing and acting foul. Nearly all looked bored, never spoke to us, and kept getting on their phones. A few times a staff member would see another teen they knew and just chat about things while ignoring the customers, sometime postponing rides to do so. I know WOW likes to brag on how they help local teens but letting them get away with this behavior will only hurt them at their next job. •The whole place looks rough. Most everything needs a new coat of paint. Lots of lights need to be replaced. Lots of weeds need to be trimmed. They have added over the years (shade banners on the North end, a new mural behind the Rainbow, new rides on the West side) but nearly everything else has been neglected. For what they charge, you’d think this park would look amazing. •Arcade is very rough. A ton the games did not work. •Bathrooms and concession stands are filthy. Protip: if you park close enough on the weekends, just leave the park and go to the bathrooms in the park outside Wonderland. Seriously. That’s how gross the bathrooms can get. •The water in the water rides is absolutely disgusting. We’re talking grey and smelly.

I love this park and have many great memories here. I only list these cons because I want to see WOW thrive and improve. I think I speak for everyone when I say I want this park to be at its best and sadly, it’s...

Was very disappointed in my experience with my family at Wonderland. My husband and I are both disabled. We can't ride any rides, since obviously none of them are for anyone disabled. We arrive and I push my husband in his wheelchair through the ticket line while my mother in law gets the grandkids their band and gets us out spectator bracelets. The young girl tells us we can go through and I said we were gonna get into the shade at the front near the carousel. We had a cooler with us with water and a wagon. We were asked to come back to the ticket booth, so go back down hill then back up hill since there was apparently no one to come to us. After having open heart surgery and having CHF that isn't so easy, and my husband I was pushing, until my 6 year old niece saved the day along with my 9 year old nephew pushed him to help me. While my husband is sitting in his wheelchair, 3 managers/employees walk up to him and tell him that the cooler is not allowed and to take it back to our vehicle. So since I can't lift, my mother in law and I went to put it back in the car. We are in the middle of the park. It was 102 that day. I am on heart, blood thinners and water pills. My husband is on medication for us upcoming surgery on his back, we needed the water. No one tried offered did anything to help. So I message and inquire about what their policies are on the disabled and they don't want to talk about any of that just the cooler. Mind you this is weeks later I message. We just wanted to watch the kids and enjoy our time with them. They do not doing anything at all for anyone with disabilities. They are not equipped to handle the disabled nor do they care. They don't care to fix their park, keep it clean or actually ensure safety. That is why they have many lawsuits pending. Their staff is rude. One of the 3 could have offered to help if they wanted it out absolutely not. They walked off and began chit chatting and flat...
