The American Fork Amphitheater is a treasured community asset for American Fork. It was built by the Public Works Administration in the 1930s during The Great Depression. It is built out of stone, and the acoustics and lines of sight are super impressive. It can accommodate folding chairs, and it has tall shade trees covering much of the seating area. I saw the Wasatch Winds traditional and jazz bands perform tonight. In addition, the American Fork High School Marching Band also performed. The AFHS Marching Band is nationally ranked, and they are the best high school marching band in Utah. All of the performing groups played patriotic music. The amphitheater is a gorgeous backdrop, with its stone wall, curved steps, and green lawn. The park is also full of beautiful spots like the gazebo and the flower beds. I loved the contrast between the historic architecture and the natural scenery. The amphitheater is also very spacious, so there was plenty of room for me and my friends to pose and have fun. The high school kids over around the place trying to get pictures. They were disrespectful and came into the reception to eat our food. it was kind of a nightmare.
