Read moredo not come here unless you want them to warp your view on islam. i came here every sunday for islamic school about 8 years ago. i’m 16 now and the things they told me for about a year are still in my head and the education was absolutely horrible. the thing is, a lot of the volunteers (they aren’t actual teachers) base a lot of what they teach on their own culture. a lot of them were and maybe still are arab. i’m personally turkish and it’s quite different. i absolutely do wish my parents never sent me. i never wanted to go every sunday but they thankfully started listening when it impacted my mental health. my faith in god has absolutely shattered and i do now consider myself non religious and i’m rather scared of following islam. it’s also filthy, and is cleaned horribly if even. please stay away from this place. if my parents never sent me here, i believe i would've been a wonderful muslim not scared of failure. i remembered being shamed by the volunteers. one time, i couldn’t memorize the arabic alphabet and write it down on the whiteboard vs another student. i couldn’t get past the first three letters because turns out i was dyslexic and didn’t know. i got yelled at and put into the lower class for younger kids. this place is absolutely horrible....
