Having lived in a small town where Fareway was the only grocery store for 18 years, I admit I am biased, but for good reason. I'm consistently impressed by every Fareway I visit. The service is fantastic on multiple levels. I've never struggled to find someone to help me, and the meat and deli counters are staffed with knowledgeable and friendly people. Their checkout system is brilliant—they never let lines form, and a new checker is always available at a moment's notice (checkers do other things when there is no line). The no-charge grocery carry-out to your car is an old-school touch that I always appreciate. Fareway is also incredibly affordable. It’s noticeably cheaper than big-name competitors and just as inexpensive as Walmart, without feeling like a budget store. The prices on their weekly specials and sales are easy to spot on the red signs, which encourages me to buy items ahead of time, even on a quick trip. The store itself is clean, well-lit, and the parking is always great. I love that it feels simple and well-done without charging extra for a "fancy" atmosphere. I also appreciate the quality of the Fareway brand products and often prefer them over name-brand items. I sing this store’s praises often and am always shocked that other grocery chains just can't compete where it counts. This store was quite large and hit every point above beautifully.

One of the best Fareways I've been to and I shop here more than anywhere else. The store is small enough that you don't have to go on an expedition to get a few groceries on your way home from work. Everyone knows they have the best meat and affordable prices! The trade-off is limited selection, but this particular Fareway has improved a lot in recent years. They even have a small health food section. However, I have to knock a half star off because 50% of the time I go in for fresh herbs, they're completely out of what I'm looking for. I understand that herbs don't stay fresh long, but it is a bummer when you have to drive across town for something so seemingly simple. Still my favorite grocery store in...

You walk in and cashiers say hi if they are not helping other customers. If you can't find something you just ask one of the many employees stockings the shelves. The meat department is second to none. Butchers are knowledgeable and friendly even if you ask them a question. The meat has great flavor and they wrap it up in the quantities you want in each package. Then a very nice lady checks out your groceries while another person bags up your groceries and follows you out to load them into your vehicle just to finish up with a thank you and have a great day all with a smile. Just the same as when I would go with mom to Fareway some 50 yrs ago. Not everything needs to change! Just saying, from my...
