A beautiful garden destination. Admission was reasonable and the grounds are arranged so you feel like an explorer, many different areas to discover and explore. A nice place for children to be outside and appreciate nature. The plants were all in healthy condition and I enjoyed seeing some new varieties of plants and plant combinations. My husband is not a gardener, but he enjoyed the relaxing walkways and benches with broad beautiful views. We stayed for an hour and a half and seemed to see most everything without rushing. At the time we attended, 4th of July holiday; there were not many options to eat (the retail store at the front had cold bottled beverages and some kind bars and baby bell cheese.). Restrooms were easy to access throughout the gardens and many of the trails were wheelchair accessible. They also had nooks and crannies through the large lawns and under trees to enjoy. Overall, highly recommended to...

A phenominal and delightful stop! If this is not on your trip plan, add it now. Worth every penny of the $36 entry fee for our family of four. Parking is plenty, right next to Iowa State stadium The butterflies are a complete delight. The botanical garden exhibit was one of our favorite aspects. Staff are informative and kind. The outdoor gardens are beautiful even though we visited very early in the season. The children's garden was fun. Many benches and shaded areas for rests and taking it all in. The Gnome was cute and the reason we stopped. But, the gardens left the...

Though I do like gnomes I don't really come here to see this giant gnome. I feel like the gnome is sort of meh, but I give it 5 stars because reimen gardens is an awesome place and I love to visit. So worth it to get the membership, especially during the pandemic since it was a place that felt safe to take the kids. We love the food garden and the deck right next to the gnome, as well as most of the rest of the gardens. So peaceful. And outside and spacious so the kids can run without...

How are there so many negative reviews for our beloved Elwood?!?! This is just simply unacceptable! Yes, Elwood is located inside Reiman Gardens, and yes, that means a $9 admission price (current 2018 prices) for the public. If you want to see Elwood for free, get an ISU ID or look at all of his posted pictures (one's posted here from me). To my knowledge, Elwood still holds the record for being the world's largest concrete gnome, and he is pretty friggin' big.
