I hate to give only 1 star but my husband and I took our 3 children. 13yo daughter and our two sons 5 & 9. As soon as we arrived I sat our bag of snacks on a bench by the Big swings and I instantly got stung by 3 yellow jackets. Followed by our 5yo soon being ambushed by a swarm of yellow jackets. While my husband is trying to get them off he began to get attacked. So my family had to run out of the playground and we stopped at the hand prints because my husband and son we're still being stung. We then saw the swarm of yellow jackets coming after us still so we ran to our vehicle and was finally able to check ourselves properly. I was stung only 3 times my husband was stung more than 5 but our poor guy was stung around 10xs or more. On his legs arms side and back. If Any of us would have been allergic it would have been bad. Lots of children go to this park and if any children or parents were too be attacked like we were and be allergic it would be very bad. I just think this place need to be treated for all and any insect that could result in a child or parent being injured or sick. I pray this doesn't happen to...

This is a great place to take your kids. The park has a lot of different things the kids can play on including swings. The best part of the whole park is not the swings however. There are ducks right next to the park that you can feed for the mere price of .25 cents. Even though we live an hour from this park, my children are always asking me to take them there. If you are not interested in feeding the ducks, there is a great little walk way that you can take and get some exercise on. I am not sure how long the walk way is but it is long enough that if you were to walk it a few times you will get a proper workout. There are also fields for sports and things like that although I admit I have not looked into whether or not you can just go out there and start a baseball game without getting permission. Bottom line is this is the PERFECT park to take your kids and let them play. Why not bring a picnic along while you are present. There are picnic tables awaiting you as well. This is the best park...

Wonderful playground with wonderful scenery plenty of room not only for kids to play but basketball walks pavilions you name it and then they just updated it to where there are fun sprinklers around for the kids to stay warm hydrated and all those things in the summer. it’s a very well-known park a very appreciative park and very well taken care of park by Anderson County Thank you Anderson County Park and recreations for giving our children a grateful place to remain children at heart and use their imagination, creativity that hopefully last into their adulthood to become successful, creative, humble, and mindful next generation of our need for change and humanity! As nothing is personal anymore, everything is so fast and bustling, and there is no time to take or jobs that understand family time and the importance of it and the importance of not speaking over the phone or texting, but being there for one another joyful times just as much as hard times!! And it cost absolutely nothing. It’s free....

Nice gated and updated park. Only three stars because the bathrooms are oversized and could have been used for stalls to avoid waiting in lines. There is also not much to do. There is a very small toddler area that is super cute, but not very interactive. More for imaginative play that seems more fitting for a children’s museum than an outdoor park. The area for the older kids is also very small with little to do. My oldest ended up just climbing on everything and my youngest was bored of the toddler area, but the older play area was extremely dangerous for him. I have heard that they are adding more to do, so we would like to come back when it’s all done to try again. We also were not able to do the water park yet since it doesn’t open until Memorial Day weekend, so I think that will make a difference as well.

This park is fenced in, fresh and fantastic EXCEPT for one feature that is obviously dangerous. The "bridge" on the large climbing structure is NOT SAFE. The step platforms are far apart with no railing on the sides and kids can easily fall through or out. Yesterday my 8 year old daughter missed the first step, fell through to the ground and ended up needing 3 staples in her head. I will be contacting the county about this specific problem, but otherwise this park is well done and brilliant!!!!

Bathrooms, picnic tables, fenced play ground with four play zones. Swings, balance area, kiddie zone, and playset for bigger kids. Ample parking and free admission. Wooden playground was replaced by this. Splash area too but not open due to winter. Note: If you love the facility as much as I do, they are crowdfunding and trying to get the county on board funding with the next phase of the expansion. Just Google for news articles about it or check out the FaceBook group to support.
