Shadyside Memorial Park Chinese Gardens — Attraction in Anderson

What pleasant memories this place provides me, a place so often visited by friends and family, and by the local druggie just trying to sell a dime bag or two. Many times my friends and I enjoyed our time at this park, many times we've made memories at this park. One memory of mine of which I am so often reminded is that of the time I spent with my good friends Jeff and Sam, we had a quaint little barbecue out there with some other friends of ours that day, just before the worst was yet to come. We laughed and joked and had a happy ol' time out in front of the Chinese gardens just when we decided to play a classic game of tag as if we were children once again. As we bobbed and weaved around every obstacle on the Chinese gardens we had ourselves a very joyous time, that was before tragedy struck. As I was fleeing from one such known as Angel I misjudged my ability to jump down stairs and thus resulting in a minor but permanent injury on my right knee when I landed on the concrete pathway. Although this minor inconvenience did not stop our fun, I rose with friends at side and although the match had been lost, the game had not ended yet. As the blood slowly made its way down my shin and to my shoes in which my bone white socks reside and ever so slightly turning them a pinkish red color, we still finished our game of tag through and through. And thus as the night ended and we all said our goodbyes we left the park that day not knowing that we would ever meet up again and therefore making that day a very...

My girls had fun.. the park it's self is nice needed cleaned up but it was the first nice day outside so i would expect a little mess but i was more up set with all the people smoking everywhere at the tables in the middle of the play area or just walking around we're the kids are running and playing and people are smoking!! I'm sure smoker myself but i smoked before we left the house ( outside on my porch) and I'll smoke when i get back home i don't need to be pushing my baby stroll around smoking around other people's kids!! Broderick, buddy... Come on. Limbs need cut back. Entire picnic tables are engulfed in these heavy trees creating a mosquito infested environment. I'm not asking for new sidewalks or fancy bathrooms... Get some jail birds to volunteer out there cutting limbs or something. This is Anderson. We're a big city. With a lot of people.
