Pizza King — Restaurant in Anderson

This is the first negative review I have ever given for a restaurant in Anderson. The Broadway Pizza King is really bad now. They have flies which definitely makes for a bad experience. Also, I ordered a Stromboli wrap up with extra sausage and extra cheese. When I received it there was just sausage on it. My Fiancé also received an under cooked Stromboli. When we arrived at this Pizza King there was no one in the dining room. After we ordered 2 more groups of people arrived and subsequently ordered. After about 15 minutes the waitress brought the 2nd party their food. Acouple minutes later the waitress comes to our table and proceeds to tell us that someone in the back got in trouble for making the other parties food before ours, but reassured us that our food was in the oven. About 5 minutes later the next party gets their food as well, but that was not mentioned this time. Finally, after half an hour we get our food and it's not good. No refills/refreshes on the drinks were offered so we just paid and left. The two Stromboli wrap up's, an two drinks was $31 and some change. There was a large group of elderly customers coming in, so we did not want to make a scene about the whole thing. There are a lot of good Pizza Kings making really good food around here, but this was just a bad experience. Hopefully, they use this feedback...

Jan.4 2024 It was my birthday today and thought I would treat myself to a pizza for dinner. Placed my order for delivery and was told it would be about 45 min. so I waited. After 90 min. still no pizza. I called back and asked if I could get the status of my order. She asked for my name and address. Came back one the phone and said it was out for delivery. Waited another 45 min. still no pizza. I called back and again provided my name and address. She said they attempted to deliver it to the wrong address, so it was returned. Even someone who claimed to be a manager blamed it on the POS system. Since there are 3 Patrick Reed's in Anderson it went to the address they had at the top. Even after they double checked it still came up as a different address and phone number so that is what the went with it anyway. Then ask me do you still want the pizza. I explained that it was my birthday today and the pizza was a treat for that and now that has pretty much been ruined. His response was to hang up the phone. I never got loud. Never cussed or was rude. Bu he still hung up. So listen up Pizza King employees, two thing could have changed the outcome. #1 Quit blaming the system. A legacy of quality,that took generations to develop. Its an East Central Indiana cultural institution. Just look at their price point. It is with great sadness that I have to resort to this, but after several disappointing transactions, this latest transgression takes the proverbial "pie". I always request light cheese, well done, to mitigate the de-evolving service which plagues the food service industry of the current times. The last several transactions have been a complete let down, I thought lets try one more location, one more time....So I gave the Anderson Broadway store a chance at redemption. However after receiving a box of barely cooked, inedible slop, and being called a liar , due to their incorrectly posted hours, I waited until next day to call , and was yelled at and hung up on. I'm no longer paying this premium to be disappointed and insulted. I will miss the savory delicious pizzas of past, but at least I have memories of a once stellar institution.The level of incompetence required to destroy this legacy is absolutely heartbreaking!!!...
