Wish I could rate it higher, but some areas in the bowls were a bit rough and in need of patching. I like to ride on roller skates, so any rough patch can really throw a wrench in our ride. The layout was cool, and I was able to use some parts of the park to practice some moves. The people I encountered there were friendly and nice, I wouldn’t mind to go back, just a bummer that some areas are in need of repair or smoothing out. If they did that, I would definitely enjoy it a lot more and rate it higher. Plus visit more often of course!

Eh, I wouldn’t recommend visiting this park at night. Reason being, I’ve seen a couple of homeless individuals here at night. Hence, doesn’t make for a safe environment (especially for children). Oliver (puppy) and I enjoyed a puppy play date here during the day. This being mentioned, Apache Junction Skatepark is preferred during the day. To add, this park is infested w/ litter. Maybe, refrain from visiting this park at night to avoid homeless individuals, avoid the smelling of recreational drugs to ensure a good experience.

Went to their 4th of July event and had a good time. It was a free event and there were a decent amount of booths for different businesses and organizations. A lot of the booths had little mini games and were interactive for small prizes. I do wish there were more food vendors but overall It was well secured and the set up of it was nice. It wasn't overly crowded there was plenty of parking and they had free watermelon slices as well as free crafts for the kids and bounce houses.

Okay I actually love this place, but it’s not perfect. I’ve been to almost every single skate park in Phoenix and this one is in my top 3.

The good:

It’s built specifically for skateboarding so most skaters can hit about almost every angle in the park

The ramps are the perfect size for launching. Not too big but enough to shred the gnar

Easy parking

The bad:

The rails suck, there’s one decent one.

No stair sets.

It’s also missing a decent ledge or drop. I love tall ledges to drop from. They have zero. They have some boxes instead which doesn’t count.

Watch out for the kids on scooters because they don’t pay attention to jack. I’ve had to bail hard a couple times because kids lack any sense of self awareness and the parents could care less.

Verdict:

Amazing ramps. Good bowl to drop in on. Good size, decent flatland spots, can get a little crowded. If you are looking for a park to hit up give this one a...
