Excellent location to hike and explore. The visitor center is a very good starting point. The staff here will guide you to the correct park access point for your desired recreation and time limit. Very helpful staff! There's also a ton of displays like a natural museum of sorts. What a great experience. One thing I will say though is everything here is museum quality EXCEPT the live animal displays. These are very small and a live animal should be given much more space and a natural habitat. These look like what my 12 year old nephew would have in his bedroom. I would suggest that improvement on behalf of the animals who don't get a choice in the matter. 2 feet of space for your whole life is...

Beautiful place to enjoy year aound, enjoy the activities as they do have a schedule for the week, month. They have a few things to enjoy and watch as well as a few animals to enjoy and don't forget to look at some birds as they feed down below by the pond. During winter take an eagle sighting boat tour, or ask for trail maps as they have assorted trails for the beginner to the expert. If you have a mountain bike take it as new trails open up all the time. Enjoy...

This is a great place to see! Lots of interesting displays and information. I now recognize some of the trees, plants and birds I've been seeing in the forest. They also have a nice little gift shop. Nice large clean restrooms as well. The trails are great and you get to see lots of critters. Stop and stand still in the woods and just watch and listen and you never know what might show itself that you would never get to...

Great visitor center with very friendly staff. We always stop by visitor centers to buy walking stick medallions. They have great historical displays to tell you about the area along with native wildlife at the park. We walked a small paved trail out the back of the center. The park was hit by a tornado a year ago and you can still see the down trees from that time. Beautiful area, loves Hobbs.

Quiet and clean visitor center with several small exhibits. It makes a good starting point for some of the biking trails, or a nice place to rest and appreciate the landscaping and water features. ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿšตโ€โ™‚๏ธ Jerry Hembd, working the front desk, is very friendly and informative. ๐Ÿ˜ Lovely place
