Trail Type: Day Hikes Difficulty: Easy Distance: .25 mile Time: .5 hour hiking time Hiking times may vary.

What to know Visitors to Bear Cave can walk under, around, through and over (with care) gigantic sandstone boulders. Although there is no true cave, the huge rocks form a number of rock shelters and narrow passageways. Wander through these tremendous stone monoliths and imagine the incredible forces of wind and water that caused what you see today. (Light Pink Blazes)

Bear Cave Trail is an amazing MAZE of beautiful narrow canyons and crevices carved into towering stone walls. Finding a way up the walls will bring views of the nearby valley gorge that are incredible. Just a very pretty area.

Really incredible short hike through incredible rock formations. The natural beauty is fabulous. This trail has lots of up and down steps so it might be challenging for anyone with mobility issues.

One of my favorite spots is the Eye of the Needle, a really narrow passageway through gigantic sheer walls of rock. It reminded me of pictures I've seen from places like Zion National Park and other places out west.

You can walk through and stand right in the middle of that passageway and look up to see a sliver of sky above. It's just incredible and pictures don't...

Absolute beautiful short trail. We only did the little loop around, not out to the BSA trail. There are lots of amazing rock formations on this trail. We spotted a couple critters: a spider, bird, a couple lizards, large ants, and doodle bugs... it made my little nature loving heart so happy. We also seen a few mushrooms growing on logs. AAAAAANNNNNNDDDDD....some leaves they have changed to beautiful reds, yellows, and oranges telling this fall loving hiking family that cooler temperatures...
