I first moved to this apartment complex in 2017 and had an excellent experience. The apartments are spacious and fairly priced, and the staff was very helpful. My neighbors are lovely. Since moving in, however, management has changed and our customer service experience has been frustrating.
First, we lost our valet trash service, but we still pay the same price for our separate trash fee. This is minor, but an indication of the changes to come. We have a lot of elderly and differently-abled people in our neighborhood who were now, all of a sudden, responsible for carrying their trash to the dumpster which could be quite far depending on where they live in the complex.
Next, our packages started to be stolen from our doorstep. We lost over $100 worth of goods, including our wedding invitations. When we brought it to the attention of the staff, we were told there was "nothing" they could do. We have security officers, and cameras, and there's "nothing" you can do?
Then our A/C broke. It was "fixed" quickly only to stop working again less than a week later. Not to mention the RAT that was living in our ducts escaping from the utility closet because the door accessing the A/C never shut again. When we requested our A/C be fixed again AND that pest control service our unit, we were told it was fixed. We came home from our wedding to find a deceased rat in the glue traps that WE had set up. Oh, and the A/C still didn't work.
Most recently we received a notice that our apartments will be inspected and cleaned. No problem - I'm happy to ensure our place is clean. However, if they cannot access the unit or if they must reschedule they will charge us $75. The kicker is they give a THREE DAY WINDOW - how will I know when you're coming? Why can't I pick a time for you to come so that I know there won't be a scheduling issue? If we inconvenience you it's a $75 fee, but we get nothing by you inconveniencing us with these vague obligations.
Our experience here was once very comfortable and enjoyable. Lately, though, it feels that we sacrifice more and get nothing in return from management. We will be moving out at the earliest...

Insightful, responsive, upbeat, patient, professional incredible individual. What a wonderful experience Mrs Hieatha Solomon was all the help I truly needed what I got from her great team player. The motivational/encouragement uploads in the app are just the icing on the cake. Many times they have been what I needed to positively start my day/week.
Your professionalism, attention to detail, and responsiveness have not gone unnoticed. Whether it's a quick response to a maintenance issue or a friendly follow-up call to ensure that a concern was properly resolved, your efforts do not go unappreciated. Though it may seem to due to the many complaints and issues that are constantly needing to be addressed.
Thank you for creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home for all of us here at The Villages. Your hard work and commitment to excellence make all the difference, and I am truly grateful to be a part of this community.
