Fantastic fun hike with river access in multiple locations. Get there early as parking is scarce and the free ones even more so. Pay attention to the signs because you can get a ticket. Labs love the hike and river a lot, well other dogs do too but Labs love it more. Be careful as sections of the river are fast and don't look it. Please don't lose your dog or kid, especially the dog, jk but not really.

If you are looking for adventure or just want to go hiking this is a place to go to I truly recommend this place it's absolutely gorgeous, and if you are wanting to go swimming will they have lots of places there too parking is limited and there is a $10 fee I believe but this place has views you will remember I would give them a 10 star rating if I could but they got five it's well worth the drive

It's a short walk down to the river. Outhouses are near the bridge as well as bear proof trash cans. If you continue on this fairly flat hike for a mile you'll reach a little waterfall in a shallow pond/creek that goes under a small wood bridge. Very refreshing.

This old railroad bridge has large open side railings which a dog or small child could easily fall to their certain death. There are PEOPLE RIDING HORSES, next to people with dogs, and others with children, across a football field long, (and only about 10' wide!), bridge w no safety railings for dogs and small children? Even if your dog is on a harnessed leash; just imagine hanging onto that leash for your dogs life after he got spooked by the two massive horses 5' away with nowhere to go but under the railings (2' high)! I was less than halfway across w my 2 dogs when they started fussing; then the middle part is completely covered for about 60-70' in a puddle, which in order to get around, I'd have to have 2 dogs walking on the edges with me, within inches of certain death. Its completely unsafe and seems to be another example of the poor CA infrastructure on these type situations, as in with the Oroville dam spillway failure. This bridge is for adults on foot or bicycle, with waterproof shoes; and not pets or children until a tight lattice fencing is installed in the lower 2 feet of the side railings. Feel free to see for yourself. Be careful. My girl labs' brother, lost his life running ahead on a trail that was hundreds of feet above the Yuba river, falling from a 60' cliff at the rivers edge. There were no caution signs whatsoever, and not even a sign requiring dogs be leashed; coming from a well established campground area. If I'd seen a sign warning of the danger ahead, I'd never have had him unleashed, nor even gone down that trail. The only sign it had at the trailhead said, 'TRAIL'. Not worth your best friend's life. Other than the danger, this place...

It's all hands on deck down at No Hands Bridge. I did, embarrassingly, walk across the bridge with my hands up in the air as if I was on a roller coaster, on my first crossing. I got some funny looks, but also got a few takers thought they'd give it a whirl. Soooo.......not too shabby. As far as good spots go, it's one of the goodest. Come here early in the morning on a week day when you can get a spot right on 49 by the trail head and walk a few miles. Can't beat it. Wait. If you can bring your dog you can beat it. But you...
