Quarry Road Trail makes for a lovely hike for anyone looking for something to do on a weekend. The trail is super easy with an elevation gain of just over 270 feet or so. It’s in and out and doesn’t loop. Dog friendly. Bike friendly. The trail goes for about 5 or 6 miles in but we stop at about 2.7 miles or so (where the water fall is). There are a couple of flat areas with tables and benches that would make for a great picnic. There are restrooms along the way so that’s super convenient. There’s a closed off mine entrance that’s neat to see. Definitely recommend checking this trail out. You won’t be disappointed. Parking however is challenging. There are just a few spot at the entrance and fills up very quickly. Many resort to parking alongside the road.

Read moreThe trail is along the water so that was a nice view. I went on a more hot day so that made it a little less enjoyable considering there is not much shade. When you reach the mining area where the benches are at there is a sign that shows a list of trails however as you keep hiking, they do not add signs when the trail splits off so you do not know what trail you will be on. Once I reached the cave, I turned around and headed back. Unfortunately, the cave is closed off which was a bummer. It would have been really cool to go inside. It would have been a full 5 stars if the trail was better marked. I am not sure if I...
Read moreDid a 9 mile round trip hike on the Quarry Trail in Auburn with my wife yesterday. Really easy path to maneuver, with moderate shade and mild ups and downs. Lots of scenery and it follows the water. Although we only did 9 miles, (nursing a bad knee) you can go much further. Make sure you take plenty of water, as it tends to get hot in the summer months. If you can’t find parking along the road, and don’t expect too, there is a small parking area at the entrance of the trail that cost $10… bring cash! Fun hike that we really enjoyed. I recommend you get there early though, especially on...
