Lincoln Park Dog Park — Attraction in Aurora Township

A little large for my taste, but nice and currently clean. Just a pain in the butt to chase your dog down at the end of the day, when they don't want to leave. Large woodchip area currently lacking in tree shade due to the removal of the two largest trees on the east end of the woodchip area.

Pluses : There is a water fountain just outside the fenced in dog area, there is a dog dish fountain, also. There are two large areas, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. There's a couple of benches and around 10 picnic tables in the center of the big dog area. Big dog area has some large trees in the middle of the dog park, there are a few small trees planted in the field area. Nice chainlink fence that looks like it was put up correctly. Gates work and assembled well. There are a few water bowls scattered in the shaded area. There is at least one port-a-potty near the main gate.

Minuses : Recently took down two of the main shade trees in the middle of the dog park... but have since planted another 8 trees... so will take a while before that middle area has shade in the mornings again. The sun can be pretty brutal around noon. There is limited parking near the dog...

Adopted a new pup in May and have been there almost every day since. The regulars are super friendly and nice (dogs and owners). There are poop bags readily available. Large open, grassed, fenced area for the pups to run and play in. Lots of trees in one section to provide shade.

There is a water fountain nearby and water bowls scattered around the park. Everyone takes turns filling them up, so dont worry if you forget or dont bring water. There isn't any water for the dogs to play in though.

There is a mulch/dirt area and if your dog likes to wrestle, they will get dirty. My puppy cleans up easy so it's no issue for me, or most of people, but wanted to make sure...

We Absolutely love this Dog Park as it brings everyone together. It is an amazing place to meet other families as our little Pumpkin loves to Play ball, running freely with out restrictions. I love how it's 99.99% Fenced all Around, keeping our one year old protected from the outside dangers and keeping HER SAFE INSIDE. There is more than enough seating for us all and everything is well maintained so I would recommend this Place to anyone that is reading this as you have a common interest and made it this far so check it out and take the little one to meet new friends.
