Walked in with a good idea of what I wanted to buy. A salesman rushed up to me and asked if he could help me. I told him I was looking for a washer and dryer. He asked how many people were in my family. I thought that was a strange question though I did understand why he asked that. He wanted to size us up with the appropriate sized appliance. He was not giving me a chance to even talk about what I was looking for. As soon as I'd stop saying something he'd jump in. So I said I knew what I wanted, he immediately cut in and asked if I had a model number. I said, well not exactly that specific...then he says, "Well, you said you knew what you wanted." ...? I said, we could leave. He wasn't even giving me a chance to speak. So he says, you can do what you want and turns to walk away. ?? It infuriated my wife. He had absolutely no reason to be that pushy or rude. He never even gave me a chance to explain what I was looking for. He was so set on cutting me off, it was as if he never had any intentions to sell us anything and just wanted us out of the store. I just looked at my wife and smiled, shook my head and we started to walk out. My wife works in healthcare and has a long and upstanding reputation for being extremely sweet and patient. She was not at this point. She couldn't understand for a second why anybody would be that rude for no reason. She let him know it under no uncertain terms and he told her he didn't like my attitude...? He never even gave me a chance to speak. It was as if he wanted to control the conversation and lead me around by the nose or something. It was childish. I was planning on buying a washer and dryer set and a refrigerator. He lost all 3 sales because his ego wouldn't allow me to explain what I wanted. He wanted to tell me what I needed. I've called them before and always gotten polite reception from the woman who answers the phone for service, etc...?? I guess he just didn't like the way I looked. ? It made absolutely no sense. We're going somewhere else right now and I still can't figure out why anybody would be such a rude so and so to a potential customer. Ridiculous... UPDATE... Now I have to add liar to the list of complaints. First, I was never even remotely negative with the salesman until I got sick of his rude interuptions and subtle digs & insults. It's obvious after he asked me how many people would be using the appliances and I joked by saying, "Oh, just one of us at a time", then smiled and said, "yes, I know, you mean how many are in the household. There are four of us." Smiling the entire time because it was a lighthearted joke, he was either having a bad day, didn't like the way we looked,...? I can't help the fact I'm no model...🤭... Second, I WAS WAS THE ONE who asked, "Should we just leave?", because he was being rude and childish in the respect that he either didn't have or didn't want to have any kind of sense of humor and showed it by cutting me off at the end of every short response he was allowing me to give. Third, there was absoloutly NO ONE ELSE in the store besides me, my wife and my daughter, two ladies behind a service counter and a plexiglass window and this "salesman", so the response that we exposed any of their customers to profanity is just another lie on their list. I'm Fifty five years old. I walked into the store with the intention that I was gonna buy at least a washer and dryer set if not an additional refrigerator. I was in a great mood and so was my wife and my daughter. Throughout the conversation, as short as it was, I kept looking over at my wife because I couldn't believe that he was being as rude as he was. It finally got to the point where I finally looked. If we should just leave because it became clear clear that he either didn't wanna sell us anything, Didn't like me or the way we look, Was having a bad day or was in a bad mood? And I really didn't think it was our responsibility to figure out which one of those it was. So instead of being mature we received disrespect. Now to save a bad review, you get lies. Sad...
Read moreMy wife and I are still in shock over the honesty of Dan Leonardi. My wife called Leonardi Appliance at 8:35 am on Saturday morning as we were in need of a new washing machine, she asked about a model on their website to see if it was in stock, and some questions about the warranty and extended warranty options available since our 2 yr old washing machine was inoperable and we had already spent enough money "parts changing" trying to fix it myself as I'm not very trusting of calling in repairmen. Dan assured us they had the washing machine My wife inquired about and that he would send an employee to get it from storage and they would have it at the store for us when we arrived. We live about 25 miles away, we were born and raised in Aurora and knew and done business with Leonardi's in the past, however the washing machine we were to replace was not purchased at Leonardi Appliance, and we did not purchase any extended warranty. We arrive and were greeted by a sales person and we replied we were there to look at washing machines and my wife had talked to Dan, Dan was busy on another call and told his sales person which model my wife had inquired about, so he pointed us in the direction of the floor model of that machine, while we were looking at this new washing machine Dan finished his other business and joined us at the machine. While discussing this new machine, that Dan had already sent an employee to pickup for us, and had a sale in his pocket at this point, the story of our 2yr old machine came up and how we were disappointed in the durability of this Whirlpool washer also what had been going on with it. Dan at that point explained to us that the factory was aware of some bad control boards that had been used in their machines, he asked us if we knew the model number and serial number of the machine and since we had been buying parts we actually had the information handy and gave it to Dan. Dan proceeds to check and see if our machine fell under the factory board issues and sure enough it did. Dan supplied us with a replacement part FREE OF CHARGE besides a small core charge that is refunded at the return of the bad factory board. Dan Leonardi had a roughly $700.00 sale in his pocket, and chose to be honest with us and help us with our old machine! We came home, swapped out the boards and our machine is again, washing clothes great! Honesty is such a hard thing to find in people nowadays and Dan could have easily never said a word, and sold us a new washing machine. Leonardi Appliance and Dan Leonardi are above and beyond as far as we are concerned, I'll never buy another appliance elsewhere again!...
Read moreFirst time doing business with Leonardi's Appliances in Aurora. I usually frequent big box stores when shopping for appliances, but in the current economy, I wanted to keep my dollars local.
Met Leonardi's owner, Dan, who walked me around the store showing me the various options for the types of appliances I was looking for. Dan was extremely professional, knowledgeable and just plain nice, which was refreshing. Ended up purchasing the complete kitchen package (fridge, range, dishwasher & microwave).
During the purchase process, I dealt with Renee, who was also great. Very nice and knowledgeable as well. She really knows her stuff and was able to answer all my questions. When I called to report a cosmetic issue with the range, Renee immediately offered to order a new part for replacement without asking me to justify my concern.
Sales and service are really top notch! My husband was impressed with the installation team, given how professional and efficient they were.
I cannot recommend Leonardi's highly enough if you need appliances, as there are only 5 stars to give. So here's to you, Dan, Renee and team, 5 stars, two thumbs up and...
