Decent in the winter but I came in early April to get some exercise & Learn from my mistake — DO NOT go in April (not sure how long it’s like this but I read mosquito season in CO is April to Oct). I was being completely swarmed by a thick wall of mosquitos breeding in the filthy water. The city could totally mosquito mist this place in the spring—this is common practice in FL. The park is now completely unusable due to mosquitos. I was planning to walk and I had to literally run back to my car with my head tucked and my arms flailing back and forth in front of my face. While there is a lot of water near the picnic area there was no mosquitoes biting us. The area has biking/hiking trails right off of it for quick access. There is a light rail stop near by making this extremely...
Read moreNot crowded. Nice playground, like the way the small slide is built into the rock, other nice equipment, but not a whole lot. Designed to blend in with the landscape. Dogs are allowed, they have dispensers for dog dooties, but not many garbage cans. No bathrooms. Didn't see sitting areas or picnic tables. 3 small lakes and canal along the trail. Saw a 3-4 foot snake cross sidewalk, two large turtles basking on log in middle of one of the smaller lakes. Deer prints underneath road bridge. Lots of annoying small flying bugs. Overall not bad, next park over doesn't allow dogs,...
