I’ve been coming to this place for the last 2 years since I’ve moved here. I had a PDF copy of my passport, as I don’t carry my wallet to work. I don’t have the Colorado app, because my ID is not registered thru CO. I had a pdf copy of my passport, and the owner had a nasty attitude regarding how that wasn’t “official enough”, even going as to far as to say, I wouldn’t be able to fly with the pdf copy. I actually have flown with that copy when I lost my wallet on a trip so that’s wrong. The owner also said this wouldn’t fly at my establishment, in which I work at a hospital and the focus is not about having physical ID, when we’re caring for sick and dying patients but a picture ID would absolutely suffice. I also had a US government issued work badge that matched my passport on hand. Be respectful to your patrons. The answer is no, but the rude and nasty manner in which it was expressed was off-putting. I don’t have to and WILL NEVER come back to your establishment.
And to further respond to the response left by the owner, not serving me without a physical ID wasn’t the issue, IT WAS YOUR NASTY ATTITUDE AND DEMEANOR that that was communicated in. Customer service goes far in the restaurant industry, you became disrespectful and distasteful for absolutely NO REASON! Just say no and keep it moving, the back and forth with the extra comments wasn’t necessary. Have some decency and learn some manners. I will make sure I tell all of my colleagues about the service that I received here. Have a...
Read moreI have previously written reviews or Cedar Creek Pub, and have made it a staple place to dine whenever I fly from MD to Aurora. It has always been a place that we can go with my son-in-law, daughter, and Grand husky to enjoy a tasty meal, and Cedar Creek Pub along with Lost Coffee have been two must stop experiences for anyone that travels the 1400 miles with me. I tell them, it's the best nachos and burgers around Denver in a relaxed dog-friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, that all changed tonight when we arrived and were told that my Grand husky (who has been to Cedar Creek Pub at least once a week for 2 years) had to sit outside the patio fence while we sat inside the fence. The water bowl that we have always counted on for the husky to get a quick drink was not offered. As for our food and service, we ordered our usual nachos, which never arrived. Our meals seemed to take considerably longer than usual despite there only being one patron at the bar and one couple at a table inside; however, when our entres arrived, the club sandwhich, grilled chicken, Ceasar salad, and marcaroni and cheese proved to be as tasty as we have come to expect. I was unpleasantly surprised by the inferior service and change in policy. We would have asked for our nachos and stayed for a few drinks had it not been for my Grandhusky being leashed through the fence where she was blocking...
Read moreFrom the outside it looks more like a diner/café than a bar. Place is well lit, clean and family friendly. We happened to walk-in on Wednesday, Trivia Night. Jenn the Tivia hostess was on 🔥 fire, funny, whimsical and quick to keep patrons on point. The menu prices somewhat reasonable as are the cocktails, beer and wine options. We ordered the Shrimp and Walnut salad with both Bleu cheese and raspberry vinegarette dressings on the side. The shrimp were spiced and cooked to perfection. The greens were crisp, fresh and piled high. The dressing/s were lackluster and didn't quite compliment the order, most likely an inexpensive choice. Both the Paloma (made spicy to order), and my Mule were D'lish, perfectly spiced and limed (respectively), kudos to the bartender! Our server Vince was friendly, knowledgeable and on-point, he made sure our water glasses were constantly refilled. The crowd was of a younger generation. Probably students from the UC medical campus boastful comradery, cheerful, and plenty of laughter throughout the evening. We will return in the near...
