I am from out of town and just tried this trail for the first time. My opinion is that it could be a great trail but it is sadly not taken care of. Perhaps it is just the time of year when everything is growing but the trails I tried were heavily overgrown with bushes and low hanging trees. I also saw quite a bit of poison ivy running wild along some of the side trails. Hopefully the city will spend some money showing it some TLC but right now it is too wild...
Read moreExplored this 1.3-mile loop trail in mid-March, and enjoyed an easy, a bit underwhelming, and secluded hike while inhaling the somewhat pungent breath of organic liquid waste from canine friends.
I won't recommend going alone, bring a friend and/or your guard dog to be safe.
The best part of this natural sanctuary is the waterfalls, and the next best are the wild flowers and cacti.
