Explored this 1.3-mile loop trail in mid-March, and enjoyed an easy, a bit underwhelming, and secluded hike while inhaling the somewhat pungent breath of organic liquid waste from canine friends. I won't recommend going alone, bring a friend and/or your guard dog to be safe. The best part of this natural sanctuary is the waterfalls, and the next best are the wild flowers and cacti. Good luck with parking.

I am not an Outdoorsy person but this place has given me the need to explore more. I moved to Austin from Boston recently and adopted a wonderful dog. This is our to go place on the weekends. People and dogs are very sweet. It is not crowded. It is a good workout for you and your pup. The best thing is to get to experience the water and trees and fresh air! This is a place you should visit.

If you blink you might just miss this spot. Its a great little trail and feels secluded despite being in the middle of Bull Creek. Easy hike but wear decent shoes as spots have tall grass and are rocky. Great spot to checkout birds and wildflowers too. Plus there are great little infographics along the way and you learn about the family who owned the land.

I am from out of town and just tried this trail for the first time. My opinion is that it could be a great trail but it is sadly not taken care of. Perhaps it is just the time of year when everything is growing but the trails I tried were heavily overgrown with bushes and low hanging trees. I also saw quite a bit of poison ivy running wild along some of the side trails. Hopefully the city will spend some money showing it some TLC but right now it is too wild...
