I have been going to WLB for over 25 years and I love that place. It's like stepping back in time - in a very good way. So peaceful and relaxing, it's a great place for a small party, family reunion or simple picnic. They have the only sheltered sand beach that I know of on the lake, which is great for kids of all ages. The water depth gradually increases as you move out into the lake with a sandy bottom that's easy on the feet. It's a very convenient place to keep a boat too. The Depwes are great people, carrying on a family tradition that started in the 1950's. This place ranks up there with Barton Springs and Deep Eddy pool as true Austin icons....

They have barely touched Facebook,Twitter or their webpage in over 6 years. You can call their phone number and never speak to a person, which they tell you to call before you come.
