I got to experience the bridge in 1974 when I was 7 years old. Some family and friends took us there. I don't remember anything extremely weird but at that time, you could walk a small trail that went up to the top. There was a door that went into the bridge You could, at that time, go from one end to the other through small arched corridors. There was a lot of graffiti on the walls and you could tell people sometimes stayed in there. I don't remember any type of rails to keep you from falling over the sides. I didn’t go through the bridge past the bike area since traffic was coming through. It’s certainly a sight to behold when you’re used to the woods.
