Dollar General — Attraction in Banner Elk

Go to the bathroom before you go! On vacation & have been to 2 locations: one on the 19E Bypass, Spruce Pine, NC (Mitchell County); the other in Banner Elk, NC (Avery County). At BOTH locations BOTH restrooms were "out of order". (Seriously???) I had a stroke several years ago that left me incontinent. When I have to go, I HAVE TO GO! 😬 (One location did have a port-a-potty outside.) Have to wonder if they're really out of order or if employees just don't want to have to clean "public" restrooms? 🤔 Other than that, I ❤ Dollar General when travelling! Worst experience ever. Employee was SO RUDE! Very bad attitude. He was down in the floor and I said “Excuse me” and he popped up angry saying “You could say excuse me.” I told him I said “excuse me” and he said “ “well I was down on the floor. Good prices and friendly staff. The only negative is that they did not have a garbage can outside the front entrance or even inside the front entrance. I believe all public places should have garbage cans for customers to put trash in. I picked up several items of litter in their parking lot and was frustrated that I had to put those in my car rather than a trash can that they would have available and easily...
