Fishing is good Spring and Fall not so much Summer. It's a shallow lake with temp in the upper 80s during sumner. FYI, There are gators, the ones I saw are most likely under five feet. Plenty of parking and shoreline fishing available.

We have visited this quiet park that has a walk way around the lake on 2 different occasions and both times we are amazed how run down this beautiful property is allowed to remain in that condition. It is a beautiful gem that’s terribly neglected. It is sad to see such a beautiful spot tucked away from the highway allowed to have garbage and trash lining the edges of the lake. Both times we visited the trash was scattered in the lake and up on the walk way. The total neglect of the bushes ( crape myrtles?) with wild vines choking the life out them is long time neglect. Seems like the town could do better. It wouldn’t cost a fortune to prune the bushes and pick up...

Heard about this beautiful lake and it didn't disappoint. Very beautiful shoreline and no houses like lake Murray SC. Unfortunately was raining constantly the day i visited but definitely going to return...
