My wife and I play a lot of disk golf we have been to a few parks but, whoever owns this park I'm saying this in the most respectful way and I think I can vouch for the people when I say this. The park is beautiful I love the tunnel shot on hole three I absolutely love the water shots on hole 8 & 9. This course just needs some maintenance for example when you park to start on hole one the sign you need all new photos in there because they are really faded and hard to read. Also on the tee I like the sand setup but you can’t even throw on it because it’s really uneven so if we did you can really mess your ankles up it just needs some leveling out. A lot of the baskets are damaged and bent the numbers on most of them are faded out. I’m glad when we went we didn’t have to go to the bathroom because we didn’t see one? One last thing a parking lot would be nice but I understand there’s not the space for it. Other than that it’s nice we will go back from time to time but if those issues got addressed I think a lot more people would come...
Read moreBetter than nothing; its very flat & open, though. Even doing navigation tees is for the most part simply boring, sorry to say. Despite being the 12th longest in greater Chicago & just as long as Rolling Knolls, Elgin; what would be interesting is adding a brand new course south of Struckman, down to Schick & as far east as Bartlett, even seeing if HawkView Park can work south of Schick, north of Army Trail, west of Gerber; but the real kicker is having enough elevation change or woods to make it even more intriguing. Wish someone would step up like what's happened at Dellwood or Fairfield.

Read morePros: Sunrise is a fun, easier course that has a decent mix of holes to enjoy. A few wooded, and over water shots are mixed into many straight forwarded par 3s. A few 450-500ft par-4s allow you to take a full send drive. It's typically less busy, allowing you to park yourself at a hole and practice if that's what you're looking for.
Cons: Street parking only. Awful, AWFUL crushed stone tee-pads that are a rolled-ankle hazard. It's been bad for years and gets worse as the ruts get deeper and deeper. New bare dirt spots are forming as players tee off from the grass to avoid the ruts. This alone knocks down a 4-star course to a 3. Recently some large oak and willow trees that added a challenge to easier holes have been removed, leaving an exposed hole,...
