Although my dog Brandi and I have hiked trails all over Maine, we have only been to a few dogs parks. I didn't find Bath to be anything special. Sure, it's a fenced in area where dogs & humans can intermingle, play, socialize so that's always great, but it's a very simple square. Definitely owners are not cleaning up their dogs' poops enough, but I see that everywhere. It's cool that it's on the river. Nice added feature there. If you want to see a real dog park go to Quarry Run in Portland. Don't get me wrong here - ANY dog park is great, and anytime owners care enough to get their dogs out to places like this its great. Mine & Brandi's thanks to Bath for providing this space.

This is an off leash dog park. This is for dogs to play and to enjoy running and playing. Do not bring your little kids under 6 and expect that they won't get barked at. Don't throw your toy to your dog unless you expect other dogs may want it. Yes, there's people that leave there dogs poo on the ground...because they are not paying attention. You have all types of owners that will bring their dog(s) on the weekend...expect the the good and the bad ones.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this dog park is!!!! When we first got our pup we didn't know where to take him to socialize with other dogs, but we found a great place at South End. The people who bring their pups are generally very nice and so are their dogs! It has good parking normally, but sometimes there are people fishing on the pier and they take up all the parking! :( they provide trashcans and bags to pickup after your dogs. There are some people who don't pick up after their dogs, but for the most part it is clean and very well maintained. It has a small beach for the pups and a beautiful pier with benches. I highly recommend this park, it is the best place for dogs in the area and is nice to walk around even if you...

The best dog and people park in the north east. Huge and fenced in so dogs run free. One side is the Kennebunk river complete with sitting or fishing pier out into the water. Also a small beach for water dogs. Please clean up after yourself and dog. If you or your dog don't want to play then this is not for you. If you or your dog have issues, walking them on a leash does not work as all other free dogs approach anyhow. Same for balls and frisbies, all the dogs go for whatever moves so if you want quality time with your dog, stay in your back yard. That said it is a pure delight for well adjusted dogs and people. Expect dog and people water fountian, clean up bags, convenient waste cans, benches in the park and on the pier and don't...
