Vale Street Venue — Attraction in Battle Creek

My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Vale Street Venue and our experience for our wedding reception. From the beginning the owner was nothing but professional and beyond accommodating. Shirley (the owner) was not only available whenever questions arose during our planning process but helped to find solutions. She met with us at the venue beforehand on multiple occasions to ensure that everything would go exactly as planned when our day arrived. The day of our reception, Shirley and her daughter were present and contributed in ways we would have never expected. If there was anything we needed, they were on it and made sure we were stress free the entire night. The support Shirley and her daughter provided to ensure our day was flawless was more than we could have ever hoped or asked for. Our guest could not stop commenting on what a great venue we chose. The outdoor area and especially outdoor bar were a huge hit. The outdoor area is very well manicured with beautiful flower gardens. Beautiful Venue with Incredible Hospitality!!! I recently had the opportunity to attend and photograph several weddings at Vale Street Venue, and it was a fantastic experience from both perspectives.

The space is truly beautiful — clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully designed. Whether indoors or outdoors, there are plenty of great backdrops that made it easy to capture natural, timeless photos without having to work around distractions or poor lighting.

From a guest’s point of view, the flow of the day felt smooth and easy. There was plenty of room to mingle, sit comfortably, and enjoy the atmosphere. The staff was kind, helpful, and clearly experienced in making sure everything ran seamlessly.

As a photographer, I really appreciated how accommodating the team was. They were communicative and flexible, which always makes a big difference when trying to stay on schedule and deliver the best experience for the couple.

We booked this for our daughters wedding reception and there simply isn't enough words to describe how amazing this venue is and how accommodating Shirley and her staff are. The venue itself is gorgeous then add in the decorations we had for my daughters wedding it was breathtaking. The outside garden area is equally as beautiful with a fire pit, gazebo and side area. We had 170+ guests and we never felt crowded, we had Sir Pizza brought in at the end of the reception and the staff organized it when it arrived. I was able to focus just on my daughter and having fun! We needed some fruit for drinks and her daughter ( without hesitation) ran and got what we needed. Our guest count kept changing the closer we got to the wedding and Shirley just told me to let her know and she would make sure the tables were correct.
