The campground at Lake Stephens is not as nice as I thought it would be, based off the website. The price was affordable, but the campers are parked so close, we couldn't open our awnings. Parking is also tight. The recreation area is only a coulple minutes drive from the campground, and did seem to be a nice attraction but the RV spots were so tight we left a day early. I think this would be a better option to go for the day. In our case we were not locals.
