This place has some great things to offer: their marinara sauce, in particular, is excellent.
Their fried ravioli is more like mozzarella sticks and were very good; the pizza dough is light and crispy, while still being a traditional (not-flat-crust) pizza; the flavor on the chicken parmesan and eggplant parmesan was excellent.
Unfortunately, the chicken parmesan and eggplant parmesan had cooking issues: one breast was great but the other was significantly undercooked and was rubbery - two eggplant were great but the other two were significantly undercooked, almost like it was a mushroom, not eggplant.
We requested the one breast be re-made but the eggplant was fine, but to just let the kitchen know.
Moments later, the [we presume] owner came out from the back, up to our table, and said "So, you don't like the food from the kitchen?"
Yeah, not "Sorry there were issues" or anything like that: just straight to escalating the situation!
Cue an episode of Kitchen Nightmares...
This guy stands there and argues with us about how "sometimes chicken breast is just rubbery like that" and "sometimes the eggplant isn't good."
It was unreal: we were getting gaslit by this owner who couldn't handle the idea that not everything from his kitchen was perfect, which he would have known if he'd cut into that chicken.
My guess is that the chicken came back and he didn't check it, to see: he just said "Ah, some tables suck," and let it go.
But when the eggplant also came back, because he didn't try the chicken, he decided that we were just a trouble table and he should come out to argue with us about it.
Keep in mind that all we asked for was for the one chicken breast to be redone: I even told her to only take that off my plate and redo it, so they didn't have to do a whole new dish.
And this guy was acting like we were there to sabotage his restaurant.
The replacement chicken breast was great and the service really was amazing - I am confident the served didn't send her crazy boss over to our table to fight with us.
Seriously: it was like a scene from Kitchen Nightmares.
We attempted to refuse the discount we received (50% off the eggplant) but were told we couldn't, which was really too bad, because I'm sure that really would have messed with the owner's head.
Honestly, the food was pretty good, but that owner is nuts: he's the reason I...
Read moreSuch a great find!!! We were referred to Little Sicily by a local friend, who mentioned they serve a beautiful and unique blend of Egyptian and Italian cuisine — and what a memorable experience it was!
The food was absolutely delicious. The falafel was clearly homemade — perfectly crisp on the outside and tender inside — and the hummus was silky and flavorful, some of the best we’ve had. The menu offers an inspiring mix of flavors and traditions, showcasing the richness of both Egyptian and Italian culinary heritage.
We also had the pleasure of being served by Misty, who is not only part of the dynamic duo behind this wonderful restaurant but also a realtor! Her warmth and pride in what they’ve created made the experience even more special.
We were delighted to find a restaurant willing to celebrate and share such a diverse offering, especially in a community where that kind of cultural fusion seems rare. It was a joy to support a place that brings something so unique and heartfelt to the table, no matter what they need to call it to make it possible here.
If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in — the food, the people, and the love behind it are...
Read moreSo I'm new in town, born and raised in New York. And I wanted a slice of pizza all day so I decided to order from the Italian restaurant in my new town. I'm so glad I did! My inaugural restaurant takeout order was amazing! I ordered a 16" with extra cheese, sausage and onion and an order of dolmas (grape leaves) The food was hot fresh and absolutely delicious! The crust on the pie was cooked perfectly and it still has just the right amount of crunch to the bite without it being too hard. Perfect! The sauce's flavor was really nice and of course you can't beat the sausage and onion combo for toppings! You guys give New York pizza a run for it's money. The dolmas were so delicious I'll be making numerous trips just to pick up an order of grape leaves lol They were wrapped perfectly. Not overstuffed and rock hard like some places make them. The filling was totally authentic and the tzatziki sauce was such a great accompaniment. So my first restaurant takeout was a total success!! I can't wait to go back and try the eggplant and chicken Parm! Thanks. Guys! You'll be seeing me again soon, I'm...
