Lake Hills Church — Attraction in Bee Cave

I’m very proud to call Lake Hills Church (LHC) my church home. LHC never fumbles—it consistently delivers a well-prepared, engaging, and inspiring experience. Pastor Mac Richard and the entire worship team are so special. They make every Sunday service and church event truly impactful.

(UPDATE 3/25): Growing up in an Episcopal church, I knew that as an adult, I wanted a church that could teach God’s word in a way that resonated and felt relevant to daily life. I also sought a more casual environment—one free from the formal liturgy of my upbringing. For me, the standing, sitting, kneeling, now stand, now pray, sit, sing, etc. It made me feel like it dominated my attention.

When I found LHC, I realized it not only checked all my boxes—it checked ones I didn’t even know I had! Then there's the music! The band is so good that my first thought was, 'how would I really , really quickly describe LHC to someone who sees me wearing an LHC shirt at HEB or a gas station and asks me what it's like as they're walking by? Maybe: 'Come for the music, stay for the message!' or maybe, 'Come for an awesome message and probably some giggles.' (Mac’s got a way with words), and get an incredible band thrown in for free! Whatever the tagline, you get the idea!

But, my most important update since my last review? My connection to LHC deepened so much that I wanted to give back, not just keep receiving. So, about a year ago, I joined a weekly Men's Bible study, a few months later, I volunteered for the Welcome Team, and just last week, joined the Production Team. I must say, serving feels incredibly fulfilling. It's a whole lot of fun too. Such a great group of people I'm proud to call friends.

My recommendation is to head over to LHC’s website and learn a little more about the church. After that, the only decision left is: 9:15 a.m. or 11 a.m.? My family has been attending Lake Hills Church for over a decade. I love so many aspects of the Lake Hills community! Sunday messages are Biblical and practical, and the music takes worship to the next level. The offerings for kids and students are fun and engaging. The Bible Study leaders are incredible! They were excited to help me get started when I walked into my first Bible study ever, and have inspired me to keep learning and growing years later. Fearless Mom has been a game changer for me!! Implementing the tools shared at Fearless Mom has improved my relationships with my kids and helped me truly enjoy motherhood instead of constantly feeling overwhelmed. The guest speakers, classes and workshops that Lake Hills offers are relevant and equip us to keep Christ at the center of our lives as we navigate a world that wants us to focus on anything else. And what a blessing it is to be surrounded by a community of prayer warriors! There is so much hope, comfort, peace, joy and power found in praying alongside of other members of the LHC community! Born & Raised in Texas and in the Biggest Southern Church in Dallas. After Graduating high school I kind of felt like I had graduated church as well. Having my kids pulled my heart back into wanting to know God more & actually learn the Bible; our Textbook for LIFE! I vowed to stay in the church and raise them in the Way; to know that God is there for them & they can always find not only Him, but themselves in Church! I’ve tried many churches over the years and just never felt plugged in or moved by the Holy Spirit. My family and I have attended Lake Hills Church since 2018, and I can say wholeheartedly that it’s the best church I’ve ever been to. You feel Welcome! Our Pastor, Mac Richard, is hands down; the BEST Teacher & Pastor! He’s warm, inviting & relatable. My teenage son even loves it! If you’ve been the parent of a teenager, you know, that’s close to impossible! We just started a new Bible Study and it’s actually on campus after we get out of church.
