This park is a wonderful hidden gem. The creek is the perfect science zone for nature-minded explorers. Crayfish/crawdads, tadpoles, minnows, occasionally a small snake swims by. Deep enough to Wade in but shallow enough for moms and dads to stand on the rocky DRY shore and watch carefully. The play area is shaded and perfect for hot days. The trees tower over you and there is a small shelter that can be rented for $50 but is usually free for use. The parking lot is situated directly in front of everything. Still have the playground roped off and signs reminding people to stay safe and healthy. The main thing is the creek so plan on wearing stuff prepared to get wet!
