OUTSIDE the BOX - Art Studio — Attraction in Bellbrook

Outside the Box Art Studio is such a hidden gem and has quickly become one of my favorite creative spots in Dayton. I first went there on Valentine’s Day for a pottery wheel class, and it was such a fun and memorable experience. The instructors made it really easy to follow along, even as a complete beginner, and they were patient, encouraging, and genuinely excited to help everyone learn. It felt hands-on without being intimidating, which made the class even more enjoyable.

I enjoyed it so much that I went back a second time to try something different—I bought a ceramic piece and painted it. That experience was just as fun and relaxing. The studio has a very welcoming vibe where you can sit, take your time, and just let your creativity flow. Whether you’re artistic or not, it’s the kind of place that makes you feel comfortable experimenting.

What makes it even better is the staff. They’re incredibly friendly, always willing to answer questions, and create such a positive environment. Overall, Outside the Box is a perfect spot to hang out with friends, go on a date, or even just enjoy some solo time being creative. I can’t...

ABSOLUTELY loved our time here! I was looking for something unique to do to help celebrate my husband's birthday. I was so happy when Carmen let me know she had time Saturday evening for a private class. We had an absolute blast, and I definitely would love to play with clay again. I got messy, and it was fun!

It's a fantastic space, and an extremely welcoming environment. Carmen is enthusiastic, patient, and encouraging.

As someone who teaches for a living, I appreciate when I meet someone has a gift for teaching - it's not easy!

I can't wait to see how our pieces turn out. I highly recommend this spot for a class, etc.

We had a FANTASTIC experience at the studio! We had a very large group with a wide age range from children as young as 3 all the way up to adults, and Carmen was amazing. We chose a guided project session of a hand built clay figurine, and Carmen was so encouraging of everyone's creativity and abilities. I was so impressed with the wide variety of projects everyone made (even though we all followed the same instructions) and can't wait to see our clay creations fired and painted/glazed to finish! My kids all want to go back again, and everyone in our group agreed that it was a really cool experience. So grateful to have this gem in...
