This was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my 21 years of playing golf. The course was in great shape. We were on a member for the day pass and live at another course. Everything seemed to be fine on the front 9. On the 10th tee we had a foursome and threesome pull between the blue tees and senior tees expecting to play through. We let the foursome go but the threesome just stood my the right side of the cart path expecting us to let them play through or hit over the top of their heads. We told them just to go. We made it 3 holes after standing on #10 tee box for 30 minutes letting people play through. All 4 of my group was on the green putting for birdie when another threesome pulled up demanding to play through or they were going around us. The groups we let go through on #10 were on the next tee box, so this group just went around us and waited. The guy actually said, "Are you a member?" I said no sir. He said, "Well I am and you should let me play through. If you don't I am going around you". I was very polite to them and said, "Sir you are a grown man and can do what you need to do". After the round was over the cart guys said they stopped and complained about a group "not letting them play through". Are you kidding me!? I reached out to the Membership director two days ago and no response back. Maybe he is embarrassed because I sure would be. I wouldn't play golf here again if it was free and they rolled out the red carpet. I have multiple friends and neighbors that are members here in a neighboring development. No thanks. Still can't believe how rude people were to prospective new members. 10/4/17 Update. I gave them another star because the Membership Director reached back out finally and was super nice. This rating was never about the course and strictly the older members. The course is in great shape and the Membership Director is a class act. The 60 +/- year old...
Read moreTrunk or treat was a bust. Shameful at best. Why is a country club if that caliber advertising trunk or treat when it's actually a by your adult drinks, pay for tickets for everything past the 2 free each kid gets for bounce houses, games and cotton candy and have only 5... Yes 5 golf carts(maybe 6), stand in line for 15 minutes with a 2(2 year old in full Chucky costume was in full character so that was even worse waiting 15 minutes)and 6 year old to get 1 piece of candy from each of those golf carts! Yes, I said ONE. 2 of those candy buckets were only small tootsie rolls and a 3rd was tootsie rolls or a dumb dumb! So each kids got 5 (or 6 pieces, just can't recall if it was 5 or 6, I feel like 5 is accurate) each kid used 2 free tickets and everything past that was pay(NOT advertised, we would have paid a cover charge to hit 20 or 30 trunks, we don't expect all things to be free even on Halloween) AND let me tell you how shocked I was at the number of intoxicated adults we saw! We like...love a good time, some drinks and more drinks but not when the party is advertised for kids! I'm so shocked that that caliber of neighborhood couldn't do better for their community's children! I'm not one to ever kick a gift horse in the mouth, and I really hate complaining, especially when it's about free events, but this was not what it was advertised as. We dressed a 2 and 6 year old in full costume and drove 21 miles one way to have fun, thankfully the 6 year old had enough fun showing off her Bride of Chucky costume and didn't know what it should have been so she wasn't as let down as we were. Never again, will be sticking to Archdale area...
Read moreIf you are looking for the best Country Club in the triad, look no further. I have been a resident of Bermuda Run for 16 years and a previous member. I will say BRCC is the nicest and most well kept Country Club I have ever had the privilege of playing golf on or living on. It is always pristen and well kept. I have played golf on a lot of courses and never have I played such a well maintained course as BRCC. I highly recommend joining to anyone who enjoys golf or great food the West Course has a wonderful restaurant with great steaks and wine. It is by far the best community to live in, in the piedmont triad and so close to all of the amenities of living in a major city. A++++ to the town of...
