Although closed during COVID, I was able to get a private tour of the museum and it was amazing.
What rich history of a time almost forgotten. During normal operations, they offer historical data about the country, State, and county as well as housing a traditionally furnished classroom and photos and relics of the bygone era. In addition, the museum offers a book club for adults, a black history month orator contest for students and a “buy a brick” for fundraising.

A timeline of local, state, and federal history as it relates to the struggle for civil rights runs across the top of the walls.
