Bessemer City Park — Attraction in Bessemer City

It was so pleasant having the pool post Covid...we got here on a Friday when they opened and I was happy with the whole experience...the life guards were cordial yet firm with the kids. The facilities were about as clean as you can expect from a public pool. The crowd got huge by 3, but everyone maintained respect and order. The canteen was reasonably priced and the police cruised through several times to show face...only issue was a transient made her way into the area and was high as all get out...she walked around questioning people and disappeared, so I'm assuming they had her leave or she left on her own...I will be bringing...

I used to go here A long time ago alot it had been a while since I had been but they changed alot the pool the day I went it wasn't clean and had dirt in it like sand and the pool just seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in a while to me and the life guards didn't say much to the people jumping in or around and the bathrooms omg really dirty and stunk bad like nasty feet or something and stuff in the floors and the curtain for the shower was missing and just all in all I wasn't happy with it . They have changed alot since the last time...

Worst place to visit if you want to have a fun pool day. Diving board closed. My 5 yr old wasn't allowed to go down the slide if wearing a puddle bumper, INTO 13 FT POOL. NO JUMPING IN THE POOL, even if a bee is on you. The worst lifeguards EVER, that take breaks every 10 min, and no one, not even adults, are allowed in while they are on break! Oh, and if you need to go to your car, you will be paying to reenter the pool. WILL NEVER GO...
