Blossom — Restaurant in Bessemer City

Stopped in for a late lunch on a whim, and I'm sure glad I did. This place is a gem in Bessemer City. The eclectic space is easily changed for different events and various moods. I had a panini with soup, and took a few baked goods home, too. Everything was excellent. The quality of the ingredients was better than I have come to expect for a local place. There were several nice touches like au jus with the panini, crackers added for the soup in a little zip lock, and really nice presentation for a to go order. The lemon bar was to die for, and the banana pudding was fabulous. Prices were extremely reasonable. I felt I got good value. Excellent service and a great staff both front and back. Drea was so friendly and welcoming. She told me about several events coming up that sound like a great time. They have a lot more going on than just a little Cafe. Excellent food! The holy cow panini is delicious, the carrot salad side is soooo good. If you want something besides chicken or burgers, this is the place. Chicken salad on toast is really good. Waffle fries or a side salad that are freshly made to order is always good. This is the place to go for your quick lunch break or an evening with music. The prices are phenomenal! You can have a fresh sandwich with your choice of waffle fries or other sides for the same price as your local burger or chicken restaurants. Love the karaoke on Friday night! My husband and I went to Blossom recently for our high school class quarterly get-together/dinner. The restaurant has an artistic and historic ambiance, which is very welcoming. There is also a stage for musical or theatrical performances, and when we were there, a loveseat and sofa were set up on the stage for picture-taking opportunities. The menu has many reasonably-priced options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I ordered the Italian sub with fries, and also a bowl of broccoli cheese soup.
