Eldon Lyon Park has been around for many decades. It is usually kept pretty clean and is a great place to take a walk or take your dog on a walk or take your family and have a picnic ! I want to add they do have a basketball court for ppl to play , plenty of regular play equipment for kids and also they have a taller hill but not huge hill that you can walk up for a bit more excercise with an incline , if that isn't your thing then you can enjoy a nice walk on the marked sidewalks that tally and show how far you have walked, biked or jogged , for example 3/4s a mile marker points and 1 mile etc. It is an enjoyable park and atmosphere !

Went to this park today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. This is actually a pretty nice park. It's quiet, not super busy and has a great walking path that goes around the entire park! There are lots of trees that provide a good amount of shade in most parts, which is good when you're walking your pets! They have some playgrounds, picnic pavilions and disc golf at the park. The one downside to this park is there are a lot of stickers that can get stuck to your pets paws which is a bummer when they wanna go on the grass and sniff around. Other than that, it's a great park and I would recommend it to anyone!

We take our 19m old here quite often, and always have a great time with him! He is a runner, and there are indeed tons of open spaces to run around in! The playground area is fairly small and simple, but can get the job done for kiddos. Just don’t expect it to be the larger, all-abilities playgrounds like the ones off Route 66 or by the Bethany Library. That said, there are areas for basketball, soccer, a baseball/softball field, a big hill that’s perfect for sledding in the winter, and tons of room to fly kites!

Paved path with mileage marked follows the entire perimeter. Some areas are generously shaded, others not. The paved route includes variations in grade - nothing extreme - that runners and walkers can appreciate. Even though the park is well used, it seems so expansive that the various activities - football here, basketball there, softball over yonder - don't conflict or compete for space. Lots of picnic tables and a couple of covered pavilions for group gatherings. That being said, the restroom facilities adjoining the pavilion my group reserved weren't great. Not looking for amenities, but a few basics...
