Well here we go, very unprofessional to start with. I legitimately am writing this review after getting off the phone with them. I called to ask about possibly selling a mainland smith lamp and the ladyâs cellphone went off as she was on the phone with me told me to hold on as she wandered anothe phone call without putting me on hold. Then as I proceeded to ask her if they might be interested in buying a very rare lamp that I have for sale she immediately interrupted me and told me we donât buy anything. Now in what world does that make sense when your an antique shop? I asked her if she might be able to point me in the right direction maybe I can find a different shop that would appreciate having this in tier store so it doesnât end up in a pawn shop and she said â no and you staying to become irritating â and hug up the phone. If this is how you conduct business you need to be investigated why youâre still in business because thatâs the worst example of customer service Iâve ever ran into. Iâd give you zero stars...
Read moreI've given up! Six months ago, I swore i'd never return because of the way i'm made to feel. Well, I tried it again this afternoon and I find I was wrong to break my vow. There've been changes since my last visit, now the place is clogged with mid-cenury stuff that's been 'sweeded,' that is, painted to look like... I don't know what but it's a style i've always found vaguely offencive. What hasn't changed is the people. Even though I recognized no one from my last visit, I got the same 'anyone and anything else is more important than I am' vibe. Rink; I refuse to beg you to take my money or answer any questions I might have so y'all just pat each other on the back and try to outdo each other with, "I don't know who he could be talking about, we treat everyone wonderfully!" While you're busy doing that i'll be shopping at the stores with the folks who say hello and...
Read moreWas somewhat disappointed by the manager and owner. The manager insulted my wife as soon as we walked in, then later interrupted her and insulted her again. They would not negotiate on something my wife wanted saying âthe price marked is what it is,â but on other things negotiate. They have forgotten that the customer is the one doing them a favor, not the other way around. They would do well to remember that, but it looks like they havenât. Insulting and patronizing customers is also unintelligent and shows lack of character. Itâs no wonder people have left this failing business and are way more successful because they are honest, more intelligent and treat vendors and customers well. We wonât be back specifically because of the manager lady insulting us. Bless her heart! She and the owner could learn a thing or three from the owners...
