The trail we took was the one that followed the Monacacy Creek. This is first time using this trail. I've only been to Illicks mill park. I found it quite serene with the Creek running by and walking through the woods on the paths. It's been years since I've walked through woods and it was very relieving to be able to get away from the noise and the signs of civilization. It's so ironic that this is just only 10 minutes away from where I live so close but yet so far.Just to have the trees, the ground, birds, plants all so beautiful , the Creek of nature's noise. The trail one way to the end it ends because it ends were you can't go any further was only .8 miles that's not bad. I Thought is interesting to see trees down in the woods and that had fallen into the monacacy Creek and to try and figure out how long they probably been laying there and with all the who knows how long they have been there could only be a short time were longer than that for years. Read moreReally, really, really amazing! Water was great, we put on waders and cleaned up trash for the Monocacy Watershed Association! We found three old bottles, one from 1915 and another from 1954. Trail was very well maintained, and the plants were beautiful.
