Russ McEwen Family Aquatic Center — Attraction in Big Spring

We were staying at a campground nearby and they recommended we go here. We were so glad we did! It only cost $5 to get in. They have 2 big water slides, a lazy river, a 2 foot wading pool with a smaller slide, and a splash pad. They do not allow you to bring in outside food or drinks but I found their prices to be affordable. A bottle of water only costs $1. My 13 year old son and I had a great time. First time since they first opened years ago, it was a great family experience! Snack bar is fairly priced but need better system lines are way too long to be in 💯 degree weather! Restrooms needs to be tended too more frequently, they need a full time janitor during business hours. It was a nice place to visit! Admission was $5 per person, and there was plenty of seating. There are benches with shaded areas but you have to rent it.

My son really enjoyed himself. There were plenty of lifeguards on duty, and the manager was actively making rounds, which was great to see.

I forgot to take pictures, but the pools looked very clean no leaves or trash anywhere.
