Sorry but this is going to be a long review. I only found Yellowstone Cellars & Winery by accident because of my youngest daughter. She is 29 years old and doesn’t know the business exists. Red Lodge was our home and each Christmas for many years we did a father daughter trip to do our Christmas shopping staying at the Holiday Inn because of the pool. I find myself in Billings without my daughter but need a place to stay and of course I stay at what used to be the Holiday Inn but it isn’t and it’s not very nice, so I go for a walk. I accidentally come upon this wine bar in a pretty obscure area and found comfort. After being greeted by Edie and learning about the wines then soon discover the original owner hosting friends and tasting the great selection of wines that are produced feet from where I am sitting, I experience a home grown Montana business that was driven by the passion of Clint Peck whose only flaw was he had a position at MSU (go Griz). It is believed by many that Montana doesn’t know how to make wine. That is garbage. I challenge all my Red Lodge family and friends to check out Yellowstone Cellars and Winery. Meet Edie. Her smile and her sweetness will enhance...

The entrance to Yellowstone Cellars and Winery was easy. Lisa greeted me warmly and showed us where to park. We were adjacent to the small winery parking lot in front of their warehouse. There was ample room for our 36' fifth wheel and truck. There was one other camper there. We walked over to the winery after we set up and tasted several wines. We settled on the tasty full-bodied Tempranillo, got a yummy house made flatbread and a couple of glasses of wine, and took two bottles to go. Everything was very good, and Lisa was an awesome server. It was a quiet night with minimal street noise and an occasional train whistle in the distance. Check out is at 1, so we had time to run to COSTCO and to Petsmart to get our pups' nails trimmed before resuming our 74-day road trip. The winery is within minutes of anything...

Love this wine-i always by at target and was so excited to learn its here in billings. My absolute favorite spot for drinks out! They offer wine tasting, food, and the best wine around! I've met the owners and they are beyond friendly and always come up to the table to talk. Large variety and can taste whatever you like before committing to glass or bottle. They give a printout of what they to make choosing easy. The have a "wine library" of previous wines for sale...

What a great way to spend an afternoon after visiting Pictograph State Park. My wife and I got to sample 8 different wines and have some baked Brie with mild jalapeño pepper jelly. And to our delight we were served by owner and winemaker Sarah. So we had to buy two bottles of her great Bordeaux blend - Sarah’s choice. Great wine. Great service. A wonderful way to spend a blustery afternoon.
