Buckstop Junction — Attraction in Bismarck

This is an amazing piece of history for the area all rolled up into one little town. Tractor parade would have been my grandfather's favorite part, then again he would have been driving one of them! Thankfully, it's a Pepsi place! Music is good. My only issue is all the generators making noise, but the vendors need them. Plus, this weekend is raising money for the cancer center. Make sure you donate! Everyone is touched by cancer one...

We tend to visit here when there are other events on the grounds - which happens pretty regularly. It's a good way to spend an hour or two if the buildings are open, but the last few visits that unfortunately hasn't been the case. There's not much to see if the buildings aren't open. Understandable, as it's a non-profit with a volunteer staff, but disappointing...

A lot of the past century is on display here, including a running HO model train layout (huge!) in the hotels basement. Open house for that on thursday evenings, all are welcome. Full size rail cars you can tour, many buildings moved there from other towns. Nostalgia personified and a nice little store. Well worth a whole...
