I attended a work event here that was two days in length. Ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, along with an open bar. For a work event, the space is extremely noisy; it would be great if they could add some sound dampening to the room as it was often hard to hear the presenter. The Wi-Fi went out, and they had to get a new router, but they didn’t give us the passwords for the new router, which was a little bit stressful while trying to host a large technology meeting.
The atmosphere in the space is charming, with beautiful spots to take photos, but it seems the rundown chic goes a little bit further. There are spaces with just electrical tape around a random window, missing air vents, and upholstered benches with foam coming out of them. They need to take a few days to finish some projects because many things are half-done in the rooms. If you’re looking at a glance, it’s pretty, but if you get a little bit closer, many things that seem like they’re there to further the vibe of the location are relatively rundown. At breakfast, we had croissant sandwiches with fruit. Fresh fruit was great, but the croissants were soggy. Someone slathered them with butter or defrosted them too fast or something. At lunch, both days, we had sandwich platters. The bread was either well-toasted or soaked in butter and not toasted. We had a pasta bar; unfortunately, the penne pasta was undercooked and still extremely firm. The open bar was great. The bartenders were super polite. Efficient made excellent drinks, the table decor and set up with smooth everything went smoothly. Just the quality of the food...
Read moreWe had our wedding reception at Sixteen03 and it was incredible! Britt did an amazing job planning our wedding and listened to our desires/decoration needs when we were states away. The flowers were stunning! The staff made it a breeze to work with and they helped package up our personal items at the end of the night. Our guests cannot stop raving about how beautiful our wedding was and how much fun they had. The venue is stunning in its own way and it has a beautiful vintage feel! Also, we liked the fact that we didn’t have to worry about rain since it’s all inside. Our guests said the late night pizza was delicious and the popcorn was 10x better than movie theater popcorn. We also had a s’mores bar, we paid for someone to watch the gel flames after the dances and our only complaint is that it wasn’t running very long. When we had the time to head over to the s’mores bar there was no flame or lady, so weren’t able to get a s’more. However, we are beyond happy to pick Sixteen03 as our wedding venue. We highly recommend them for your next...
Read moreThe Good: Brit was great to work with. You may need to reach out to schedule meetings with her yourself as she's quite busy, but rest assured the event will go on without missing a beat. Everything will be completed as planned and ready to roll. Absolutely pleased with her transparency throughout the process.
The Not as Good: Make note that your contract mentions they reserve the right to change pricing at any moment. One frustrating area we ran into was a $1,000 "outside decorator fee" that was a new charge brought to our attention months after we signed our original contract. By the time it was brought up, we already had a deposit with an outside decorator. Had we known about this, we may have foregone the outside decorator and saved ourselves the $1,000. A better solution to this would be a larger deposit that gets refunded if your outside decorator cleans up adequately...
