Semiahmoo Marina — Attraction in Blaine

Semiahmoo Marina is a world class facility, well managed, well kept-up, and a pleasure to visit and do business with every time.

This is a difficult business, and having seen marinas all over the world, this place runs on a model that includes slip owners. That means that there's a higher level of engagement and trust, but besides that, for anyone that keeps their boats here, whether owners or not, there is a ton of value.

The docks are constantly being maintained and cleaned. There are always dock carts and access. The power is reliable. The water is clean and reliable. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained.

During the summer months, there is beautiful landscaping, flowers on the light poles, and Friday evening concerts and food trucks.

The Fuel dock boasts the best prices in Puget Sound, and the pump out area is easy to get to and easy to use. There is a wonderful shop and cafe, and a small chandlery that is well stocked and can get parts from two of the best marine stores in the U.S., Fisheries Supply and West Marine. You can't beat that.

And of course, there is great protection for the boats and the customers. around the docks.

The employees, contractors, the office staff, and the harbor master are courteous, kind, knowledgeable, and efficient.

Very rude staff. Made a purchase from Oregon Craigslist on June 26th, 2024 for used docks (supposedly had 50 down to 4 when we called). Realized docks were in Blaine, not Vancouver, where advertised. Attempted to get there. Harbor master informed us a uhaul wouldn’t work to haul the docks only a flat bed. Decided the gas, rental, and cost did not make sense. Let the dock master know. He was kind of a jerk the whole time. Last call he said he was keeping the money we paid because we had jerked his chain for a month. It’s only been 13 days of us trying and staying in contact. He is also the one who said we can’t get docks in uhaul, not us. When I asked for his refusal to pay me back (I would have happily paid a restock fee), he told me no, I would get nothing in writing. In Oregon, phone recordings are legal with one party consenting…so I turned the dispute over to my bank. Went to the fuel dock for fuel, and the grandkids needed to use a bathroom. The fuel dock guy was helpful, as it was my first time at their dock I wasn't sure where to park or how to use pumps.
