Sometimes I wish I could keep certain places to myself. Semiahmoo Spit is my forever go to place when I need to regroup. Never busy, never crowded, and fantastic views in every direction. No matter what side of the Spit you are on, breathtaking views of Mt. Baker to the East, the sunsets that rival Sedona at times in the West. Look to the North, British Columbia and the spectacular Cascade Mountains will surely have you floating in the air. No matter which way you choose, the bald eagles soar around you, high and low. Let’s not forget, to the rock enthusiasts, I have found fossils, jade, petrified wood, Opal, and of course, some of the most beautiful agates in the world. Kid friendly, dog friendly, places to BBQ, plenty of parking and so much more if you decide to pamper yourself at the Semiahmoo Resort and Marina. The whole atmosphere is quite relaxed considering all the tasteful things they offer. People visit from all over the world. They always seem happy and curious about the exotic environment they have chosen as their vacation destination. I do not work for the resort in any way, although I have gotten to know the locals that work here over the years. I would recommend Semiahmoo to anyone. My only hesitation would be that I can’t have it all to myself. So instead, I accept that I must share one of the most beautiful places in the world.

What a great getaway place. Head up toward the Canadian border and get out of your car and walk around. Pick a nice day to see what our beautiful region has to offer. Whether you're going for clams or going for a walk, communing with nature provides time to get off your phone and connect with the people around you, reinforce relationships and remind people that they matter to you.

This is a stop on Semiahmoo parkway. There are several parking spots. Great ocean view and public trails along seashore with beautiful beach houses.
