Ellis Park — Attraction in Blissfield Township

This is a very pleasant park near downtown Blissfield. It is on the banks of the River Raisin, which enhances the attraction. It's connected by foot bridge to Bachmeyer Park which adds to the green space sprawl. There is a softball diamond, a basketball court (that appears to be kept in good shape) and decent-sized skateboard facility. There's also a play area for the youngsters. This park is great. It has a skate park, baseball fields, huge grass areas, covered seating and picnic tables and kids can play on jungle Jim. A big dog park as well and it use to have a big swimming pool with an additional smaller kids pool but it isn't operational anymore....

Playground equipment needs to be updated. Needs sidewalks so kids aren't riding their bikes in the parking lot. Needs more lights, too dark at night. Move the dumpster so you can see when kids are coming out of the skatepark. Why is there a shuffleboard court? No...
