My boyfriend booked this B & B as part of a romantic winter get-away to partake in the Murder Mystery Train ride. We are "young" 50 year old couple (and I like my high end hotels with perks) but I liked this small town ambiance and B & B. It's much nicer than the picture - except the bathroom - that needs a do-over but it's clean and working and acceptable. I wouldn't want to stay here for a week - but it's fine for a few nights (and in our case - one night). Both the room temperature and water temperature was HOT - we closed our heater vents in our room to increase our sleeping comfort. The old house was a funeral parlor a hundreds years ago, nice owners, clean, lovely landscaping, air conditioning, tasty breakfast. They do have cats but no bad smells or hair. There was no lock on our bedroom door which I thought was strange, but it was ok really. I'd give them a...

It is very quaint and very much of a period in the past.||One slows down, enjoys a chair on the porch and just watches the world roll by on the Main Street out front||MidWest charm & hospitality. Very accommodating with umbrellas we forgot to bring and an earlier than usual full breakfast for us to enjoy before leaving to catch a flight home.||As others have said, we agree, very clean and fresh, very enjoyable breakfast.||Across the street from the Hathaway House and Stable restaurants, both of which were excellent.||Scott...
